Bryce Young the QB2 · Jan 25, 2023
Bryce Young was the second quarterback selected in Mel Kiper's most recent mock draft
Mocked to the Colts with the fourth-overall selection, Young could fall from first-overall due to lack of size. It's hard to imagine that, given the need for quarterbacks in 2023, Young won't be off the board by the second-overall selection but with many of the needy teams selecting within the first seven picks, those within the top four may be willing to wait it out in hopes of landing one of Young, C.J. Stroud our Will Levis. Young is still the popular choice for first quarterback selected but with all three names possessing different traits, beauty will be in the eye of the beholder. Young is found as DLF's QB1 and our R16 overall.
Texans lose first pick · Jan 9, 2023
The Houston Texans will pick second in the 2023 NFL Draft following their win against Indianapolis.
Long connected to quarterbacks like Bryce Young, CJ Stroud, and Will Levis, Houston lost control of ultimate draft control by hitting on a hail mary-like throw and subsequent two-point conversion in the final seconds of their game. With Chicago now on the clock, it's highly likely the #1 pick gets traded to a different team in search of a quarterback. Go ahead and wait on buying that Bryce Young Houston jersey for the time being.
Bryce Young destroys K-State · Jan 1, 2023
Alabama quarterback Bryce Young completed 15-of-21 passes for 321 yards and five touchdowns in the Crimson Tide's 45-20 Sugar Bowl win against Kansas State.
Young battled injuries this season and wasn't able to match last year's gaudy statistics. Still, he finishes his Alabama career with 80 touchdowns and just 12 interceptions, Unlike many other Alabama quarterbacks before him, Young is an elite NFL prospect and the likely favorite to go at #1 overall to the Houston Texans. His dynasty value may be capped a bit as he isn't the best runner, but his accuracy and decision making ability is elite. He'll be a top two pick in Superflex leagues and likely a second rounder in conventional rookie drafts this off-season.
Bryce Young first-overall · Dec 13, 2022
In Todd McShay's first 2023 mock draft, Alabama quarterback Bryce Young is selected first-overall by the Texans
There's something for everyone in this 2023 draft though, by all accounts, it's not as deep or as stellar as once thought. Young will be knocked for his size but he checks all other boxes and is a lock to be a top four selection, in a battle with Ohio State's C.J. Stroud to be the first quarterback selected overall when the Texans, who now have an 83% chance of landing the pick, go on the clock. Young may not even measure in at 6' in height but as Russell Wilson and Kyler Murray have demonstrated, size is not an ultimate determinant for NFL success.
Bryce Young one of three · Dec 7, 2022
Bryce Young is one of three quarterbacks expected to be selected in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
ESPN held a round-table discussion regarding the the 2023 NFL Draft and when asked about the number of first-round quarterback selections, three was the number. The top three names being Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud and Kentucky's Will Levis. Opinions differ on which of the names should hear their name called first but superflex format players holding top selections will be eager to hear more as the off-season banter picks up.While not looking to be as strong as originally expected, the 2023 NFL Draft still offers intriguing players at each position. DLF's crack draft analysts will go down the rabbit-hole on each as we begin to turn our focus to next year.

Bryce Young completed 25-of-36 passes for 385 yards and four touchdowns in Alabama's blowout win against Vanderbilt.
Young now has a robust 1,029 passing yards, 150 rushing yards, 15 total touchdowns and just two interceptions on the season - not bad for playing in just four games thus far. Young is showing no signs of a drop-off after last year's Heisman Trophy-winning season. A projected top pick in the upcoming draft, Young will continue to be a player to watch all season long.
