In a PFF article ranking rookie receivers according to best situation, Rashee Rice is listed fifth.
The Chiefs, surprisingly, have a wide-open depth chart at receiver though figure to begin the season with Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Kadarius Toney, and Skyy Moore as starters. That group leaves plenty of room for an upside rookie to compete for game day snaps. Departures of Juju Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman leave roughly 1,200 yards of production up for grabs and Rice is an intriguing player on the end of passes from the NFL's top quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Rice is listed as DLF's rookie WR7 and our WR60 overall.

The Kansas City Chiefs drafted SMU wide receiver Rashee Rice in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
The Kansas City Chiefs took Rice in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, ahead of players like Josh Downs and Jalin Hyatt. The draft capital and landing spot are destined to move him up on draft boards but the question is really how high? Rice landed in a great spot for coaching and is very much a project but the talent is very, very real. Rice is going to be a lightning rod in dynasty leagues as a possible second round rookie pick after being paired with Patrick Mahomes.

Rashee Rice measured in at 6'1" and 204 lbs. with 9 1/2" hands.
The official measurements are slightly disappointing after SMU's inflated height and weight listing but he's still well-sized for the position and continues to be a rising player on draft boards. Rice will attempt to follow NFL receiver, and SMU alumn, Courtland Sutton, though Rice profiles as a more dynamic prospect. He's listed as DLF's WR8 and the R18 overall.

SMU rookie receiver Rashee Rice measured in at 6' 1/2" and 200 lbs. at the Senior Bowl.
It's a full 1 1/2" below his listed 6'2" height. Once again, the height of receivers at the collegiate level are being badly inflated, something we've gotten used to. In the case of Rice, a top receiver outside of a power five conference, it does make a difference as his listed size was one variable potentially adding wind to his sails heading into the NFL Combine. He's found as DLF's rookie WR8 and the R18 overall.

According to The Athletic's Dan Brugler, SMU rookie receiver Rashee Rice is his highest-graded senior wideout.
Rice flashes on tape and looks like a more dynamic Courtland Sutton, SMU's most recent successful NFL receiver, drafted early in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. While not possessing the size of Sutton, Rice (6'2/204) has already caught the eye of scouts but will need to overcome competition concerns. But similar to Green Bay's Christian Watson, wideouts showing next-level ability can still be highly drafted and Rice still seems to profile as an early day-two selection if he shows well during the Combine. He's listed as DLF's rookie WR8 and our R19 overall.
