Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy had four catches for 61 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs loss against Buffalo.
It sure looked like the Chiefs made a real effort to get the rookie involved as one drive featured him nearly being force-fed the football. This was one of the better days for Worthy, but this was far from a dominant performance as Kansas City seemed content to spread the ball around quite a bit. Worthy will be a risky play moving forward, but this was good to see from a dynasty perspective.

Yuck. This was as bad as it gets for Worthy, whom the Chiefs are finding it difficult to get the ball to at this point. He's still typically good for a gadget play here and there, but this has been a mess so far. Worthy has proven to be a little more of a project than most expected and while he still has a bright future, it's clear this is going to be a redshirt season. His dynasty value is starting to dip as a result.

Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy had three catches for 19 yards in the Chiefs win against the 49ers.
On the plus side, he did have eight targets to lead the team. Worthy has made some splash plays but just hasn't been able to string together much consistency thus far. While his future is bright, it seems clear he still needs some time to develop. Kansas City keeps losing receivers seemingly each week, so he'll keep getting opportunities. However, we'll need to see more before recommending him in lineups.

Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy had two catches for 17 yards in the Chiefs win against the Falcons.
He added 13 rushing yards on three carries. After his two-touchdown debut, Worthy now has two straight weeks with exactly two catches for 17 yards, each of them more disappointing than the last. At this point, the Chiefs offense is running through Rashee Rice and Worthy is being used as a situational deep threat or a running option. There will be better days ahead, but it really is looking like more of a development year for Worthy than anything else.

Chiefs rookie receiver Xavier Worthy had two catches for 17 yards in a win against the Bengals.
Worthy added five rushing yards on the day. Patrick Mahomes was bottled up for just 151 passing yards on the day, so dynasty managers don't need to panic. Still, this goes to show what we though - Worthy is going to be a "boom or bust" option early on in his career until he establishes solid trust and rapport with Mahomes. Worthy won't be a strong consideration next week but he's clearly a strong dynasty asset who has more than justified his rookie draft slot thus far.

He certainly made the most of his four touches on the night. Worthy could battle some bouts of inconsistency this season but it's clear he adds a new dynamic to the Kansas City offense. In short, Worthy looks the part of a first round rookie pick, though he likely won't quite hit his current pace of 34 touchdowns (tongue in cheek).

Check, please. Worthy has done nothing but impress since joining the Chiefs and it's clear he's going to have an early role with Kansas City this season. With unparalleled speed to burn, Worthy is looking like a very solid first round rookie pick at the moment. While expectations need to be tempered a little, he sure looks like a lot of fun.
