The Panthers have re-signed quarterback Andy Dalton to a two-year deal.
Read moreThe NFL Draft is behind us, rookie drafts are taking place, and as dynasty managers, we are looking ahead to the upcoming season. In our Dynasty Rookie Post-Draft Update series, we break down all the incoming fantasy-relevant rookies, looking at their profiles and where they fit. The basis of the rookie profile involves the usage of STORM analysis, focusing on five key components: Situation, Talent, Opportunity, Risk, and Market.
Name: Jayden Reed
Position: Wide Receiver
Pro Team: Green bay packers
College Team: Michigan State
Draft Status: Round two, 52nd overall
I thought it was a mistake when Jayden Reed returned for his senior year. I thought that the Michigan State offense would regress, and it did. He went from over 1,000 yards to 600 yards, and his yards per reception dipped from 17 to 11. I still believed in the talent, and he backed that up at the Senior Bowl, where he dominated in practice. There was some hype before the draft, which led to Reed going to the Packers in the second round. I think this is a perfect situation for him to start his NFL career. The main competition is two second-year players, Christian Watson, and Romeo Doubs. Watson did show great things in the second half of the season, but he still is not a polished overall receiver. Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon will lead the offensive rushing attack, which should allow for one-on-one coverage for Reed to exploit.
