Georgia tight end Brock Bowers is taken fifth overall by the Chargers in the initial mock draft by Mel Kiper, Jr.
There may be little drama in the actual NFL Draft with three quarterbacks and Ohio State receiver Marvin Harrison, Jr. expected to be taken with the top four picks. The selection here may be where the draft begins to get unpredictable as the Chargers and new Head Coach Jim Harbaugh will attempt to right the ship. Bowers is an intriguing prospect as he has the size and skill NFL Scouts will drool over. The challenge for dynasty owners will be taking the plunge on a tight end in round one after being burned by players like Eric Ebron and Kyle Pitts - highly touted tight end prospects who were taken in the top ten and haven't produced the stats worthy of a high dynasty rookie pick.

In the latest ESPN Mock Draft, Brock Bowers was selected by the Colts with the 15th overall selection.
Bowers is one of the most polarizing prospects in this year's rookie class. He was limited to just ten games last year due to injury but you can make an easy case for him to be the most talented player at his respective position in this entire draft. Bowers could be a Travis Kelce or TJ Hockenson-like difference maker in dynasty leagues but managers who were burned by the likes of Kyle Pitts or Eric Ebron are going to have some heavy reservations about using a first round pick on a tight end. Last year was even a prime example as Sam LaPorta was a second round dynasty selection who drastically outperformed players like Dalton Kincaid and Michael Mayer. His landing spot will be the key to his dynasty draft capital.
