Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison won't work out at this week's NFL Scouting Combine.
Even better (or worse), it sounds as if Harrison won't be doing anything publicly for anyone prior to the NFL Draft. It's a bold move for a position player but it's hard to see this hurting his draft stock. In the end, Harrison is a heavy favorite to be the first non-quarterback taken in the NFL Draft and it's hard to see him slipping out of the top four picks at this point. This could open the door for another receiver to leapfrog him but it would take a pretty epic performance this week and at a Pro Day for someone to do that. Harrison looks like a lock to be the 1.01 in conventional rookie drafts at this point.

Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison, Jr. is taken fourth overall by the Cardinals in the initial mock draft by Mel Kiper, Jr.
You're going to see Harrison in this spot in virtually every mock draft you see this off-season. After all, the Bears, Commanders and Patriots all likely have needs at quarterback and the likes of Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye all project to go in the top three in some order. If this happens, Harrison looks to be a perfect fit in the desert to play alongside Kyler Murray. Harrison is the top-rated position player by just about any measure and would be the 1.01 in non-superflex rookie drafts should this happen. He's just too good to pass up.

In the latest ESPN Mock Draft, Marvin Harrison Jr. was selected by the Cardinals with the fourth overall pick.
At this point, it's going to be a real surprise if Harrison isn't paired with Kyler Murray in the desert. With the Cardinals committing to Murray and the top three quarterbacks clearly in the mix with the top three picks, Harrison should be sitting there for Arizona at #4. He has the traits, talent and DNA to be a WR1 in dynasty leagues quickly and is a no-brainer non-superflex 1.01 in rookie drafts this season. His game will be picked apart over the next few months but it would be very surprising to see any other receiver taken over him in the NFL Draft. Harrison would be a quick replacement for Marquise Brown in Arizona and could potentially hit the ground running.

Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. has declared for the NFL Draft.
Widely regarded to be the top positional prospect in the draft, Harrison looks poised to be a top-five selection, possibly to the Cardinals at #4 overall. The dynamic former Buckeye posted 67 catches for 1,211 yards and had 14 touchdowns in his Junior season, posting nearly identical numbers as he did in his Sophomore campaign. Harrison obviously has the DNA as his Father was one of the most productive receivers in dynasty league history. Harrison has a great chance to be the top overall selection in upcoming conventional rookie drafts and a lock to be the in the top five in Superflex formats.

ESPN's Mel Kiper says Marvin Harrison Jr. is the "clear favorite" to be the first non-quarterback selected.
It's already a certainty that MVH will be the first-overall selected rookie in non-superflex dynasty formats though the combination of drafted situation and the best class of projected receivers we've potentially ever seen could make for some intriguing decisioning for coaches holding the 1.01. As many as five receivers carry top grades and those who are drafted later in the first round could fall to better quarterback/team situations, potentially improving early-career success. Dynasty managers holding the 1.01 will have options available.
