Zach Charbonnet had 30 total yards on six touches in Seattle's road win against Detroit.
Meanwhile, Kenneth Walker had 18 total touches and both rushing touchdowns for Seattle on the day. There was a lot of talk about Charbonnet and Walker creating some kind of 1-2 punch this year for Seattle but through two games, that just hasn't been the case. At this point, it looks like Walker and Charbonnet were both a little misvalued over the Summer. Walker will remain in the RB1 conversation next week and his ranking may start to climb again.

Seahawks rookie running back Zach Charbonnet is out indefinitely with a shoulder injury.
And away we go. Charbonnet will meet with team doctors and determine a timeline over the next few days but it seems he'll be out for a while. The good news is it sounds like an injury that's nowhere near season-ending or a threat to keep him out for multiple months. Still any injury in a Seahawks backfield is worrisome as this position group tends to be in flux quite often. Charbonnet remains a late first rounder in our rookie rankings.

An offseason news piece suggests rookie running back Zach Charbonnet will garner significant playing time as a rookie
A collective groan arose from the dynasty community when the Seahawks selected Charbonnet in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, torpedoing current starter Kenneth Walker's second-year potential and dynasty ranking. In yet another example of the lack of dependability for the running back position, Walker's draft ADP fell a full round to 26 following the draft. As for Charbonnet, he's a do-it-all back with the ability to carry-the-load if called upon. Instead, the Seahawks now possess an upside RBBC which will likely mute the production of all involved. Zach Charbonnet is found as DLF's RB33.

UCLA running back Zach Charbonnet was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Many will look at this pick as a shocker but the Seahawks have a storied history of drafting running backs early and often. There were rumors of Seattle's interest in Charbonnet over the past few weeks and those look to have been spot on. The Seahawks simply love competition at every position and had little behind Kenneth Walker. This pick is going to be better in reality than it is in fantasy as Charbonnet will likely eat into Walker's workload enough to move him down in the rankings. At the same time, there's no starting path for Charbonnet, who will likely slip down into the second round of rookie drafts now.
