Off-Season Mock Drafts: NFL Mock Draft Compilation, Part Two

John DiBari

Back in January, I looked at multiple early NFL mock drafts to see what the market looked like before we had Senior Bowl reports and Scouting Combine data to look over. It’s always good to see where the “experts” have players going in the NFL Draft, both in terms of draft capital and team-specific landing spots. Obviously, the closer we get to the actual NFL draft, the more the industry knows about the players and team wants and needs. I used the following seven round NFL mocks: CBS’s mock draft, one from Draft Countdown, another from Pro Football and Sports Network, and a five-round mock from Walter Football.

So, let’s see what I found.

Quarterbacks

Every mock has Cam Ward going first overall to Tennessee. No shocker there. The mocks went two different directions with Shedeur Sanders though. In two mocks he went within the top ten, in the other two, he fell to the start of round two (both times to Cleveland at 33, coincidentally). I think I’m in between the consensus though. I think he falls on day one, but someone trades up into the end of round one to grab him in the late 20s.
