Free agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers is still unsure if he'll play this season.
Read moreThe annual Devy 100 is an exercise in identifying the best dynasty fantasy prospects within the college game. Given the sheer breadth of the project, it will fall short of a one hundred percent hit rate (independent outside sources have tabbed it at around 98.4 percent) yet can still be a valuable resource when embarking on a devy draft or identifying players to move or target via trade. Of course, you can always reference the full devy rankings at DLF as well.
The introduction of NIL into the college football space has made the devy ranks deeper than ever, with players often opting to stay an additional season to improve their draft stock and collect some cash while they do it. It led to some tough cuts, though NIL in conjunction with the portal has also helped raise the profile of some prospects who may have struggled to reach the national consciousness previously.
A recap of last year’s Devy 100 with links to each article can be found here. Below are the next five in this year's group.
Profile: One of the nation’s top recruits out of nearby Belleville, Michigan, Bryce Underwood reversed course after his initial commitment to LSU to join the Wolverines. He is a massive add for Sherrone Moore and a Michigan offense which was, well, limited in 2024.
Underwood hits campus with a college-ready frame, standing at 6’4” and 214 pounds. He has massive hands and natural arm talent, effortlessly driving the football to all three levels. During his long and storied high school career, he became more comfortable using his legs to pick up yards, showcasing an ability to add fantasy value as a rusher. Underwood checks a lot of boxes as a young quarterback. While I am normally reticent to invest too much into young quarterbacks, Underwood is one to make an exception for. He has a tremendous toolkit and by all accounts is a high character player as well.
2025 Outlook: Michigan does not need to exercise patience if Underwood is ready. He is the most gifted quarterback on the roster, and they need to show improvement on offense. He has an inside track to the starting gig and should take over early if the team goes with a more veteran option to start.
