DLF’s January Superflex Trade Value Chart
You probably know that a couple of years ago, DLF created our very own Dynasty Trade Analyzer. While there are many trade tools and calculators on the market available to dynasty managers, ours is the only one to integrate expert dynasty rankings, regularly updated community dynasty ADP and, perhaps most importantly, actual dynasty trades taking place in real dynasty leagues. We combine each of these data points to create a specific value for every dynasty-relevant player, which is updated daily.
What you might not know is that those values are available to each DLF subscriber. Hopefully you are using the Trade Analyzer to aid you in deciding about each and every dynasty deal you consider, but it can be easy to overlook an option at the top of that Trade Analyzer page.
While you’re wondering what the 49ers will do at the quarterback position, take a look at the red box in the image above. Inside, you’ll find “Values.” All of the values. Every numerical value for every player and draft choice you care about in a dynasty league, available in both 1QB and superflex league formats, updated every single day. I’ve had many dynasty managers and DLF subscribers tell me they did not know this was available, so I wanted to be sure we’re all on the same page before we continue.
Now that you’re all caught up, let’s get to it. While our values change daily, those are almost always small shifts, based on ADP or rankings updates or a massive trade that went through in one of our tracked dynasty leagues. Of course, the real change is noticeable over a larger period of time. It is certainly interesting to track this value change over a period of weeks, months, or even years. That’s what I’ll be doing for you in this monthly series. On to the values.
In this article, we’ll take a look at the dynasty superflex values, which means a heavy focus on the quarterback position.
Quarterback Trade Values
Rank | Player | Team | Trade Value |
QB1 | Josh Allen | BUF | 981 |
QB2 | Patrick Mahomes | KC | 956 |
QB3 | Jalen Hurts | PHI | 929 |
QB4 | CJ Stroud | HOU | 921 |
QB5 | Lamar Jackson | BAL | 907 |
QB6 | Justin Herbert | LAC | 838 |
QB7 | Joe Burrow | CIN | 803 |
QB8 | Dak Prescott | DAL | 691 |
QB9 | Tua Tagovailoa | MIA | 687 |
QB10 | Kyler Murray | ARI | 655 |
QB11 | Anthony Richardson | IND | 636 |
QB12 | Trevor Lawrence | JAX | 632 |
QB13 | Jordan Love | GB | 585 |
QB14 | Brock Purdy | SF | 537 |
QB15 | Justin Fields | CHI | 425 |
QB16 | Jared Goff | DET | 381 |
QB17 | Bryce Young | CAR | 347 |
QB18 | Deshaun Watson | CLE | 328 |
QB19 | Kirk Cousins | MIN | 220 |
QB20 | Matthew Stafford | LAR | 174 |
QB21 | Geno Smith | SEA | 170 |
QB22 | Baker Mayfield | TB | 151 |
QB23 | Will Levis | TEN | 144 |
QB24 | Russell Wilson | DEN | 136 |
- We are often asked why some of our values differ from 1QB to superflex. Other than the obvious changes in positional value, these changes happen because we rely on a variety of rankers here at DLF, as well as dozens of dynasty community members participating in our monthly mock drafts. While some may question these differences from one format to the other, we appreciate them.
- For months, the “Big Three” have been locked in as the top tier, including Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts. With late-season struggles and a surge from lower-valued quarterbacks, the gap has narrowed. Both CJ Stroud and Lamar Jackson are gaining on the trio, so much so that all five quarterbacks could be considered top-tier options.
- Joe Burrow and Anthony Richardson each missed large portions of the season but it didn’t really impact their respective dynasty value as both remain among the QB1 group. We’ve seen this trend at other positions as well, meaning the strategy of buying low on injured players may not be possible, or at least as effective, moving forward.
- Some of these results are surprising, including Justin Fields and Brock Purdy outside of the QB1 range, while Dak Prescott holds the QB8 spot. The late-season play of Fields and Purdy, along with Jordan Love, had added some nice depth to a position that desperately needed it.
- The future of some of the veterans on this list is quite cloudy. Kirk Cousins is recovering from an injury as he enters free agency. Geno Smith could be cut while Russell Wilson certainly will be. Baker Mayfield is coming off his best season as a pro and will also be a free agent. This all means the bottom quarter of this list is in for a significant shakeup in the coming weeks.
Running Back Trade Values
Rank | Player | Team | Trade Value |
RB1 | Bijan Robinson | ATL | 698 |
RB2 | Jahmyr Gibbs | DET | 673 |
RB3 | Breece Hall | NYJ | 645 |
RB4 | Christian McCaffrey | SF | 557 |
RB5 | De’Von Achane | MIA | 511 |
RB6 | Jonathan Taylor | IND | 473 |
RB7 | Travis Etienne | JAX | 433 |
RB8 | Kyren Williams | LAR | 431 |
RB9 | Kenneth Walker | SEA | 382 |
RB10 | Saquon Barkley | NYG | 362 |
RB11 | Isiah Pacheco | KC | 249 |
RB12 | James Cook | BUF | 245 |
- Again, we’ll focus on the quarterbacks even when examining other positions. There are few differences between these RB1s and the data collected in our 1QB ADP. Instead, it is interesting to frame values compared to quarterbacks. The top seven quarterbacks are all valued ahead of every running back, including the current RB1 Bijan Robinson. Jahmyr Gibbs and Breece Hall are valued in the same range as the low-end QB1s like Tua Tagovailoa.
- There’s a sizable value gap between Hall and the RB4 Christian McCaffrey and CMC falls behind the QB13, Jordan Love.
- At the quarterback position, there is a large gap between Purdy and Fields, which means De’Von Achane, Jonathan Taylor, Travis Etienne and Kyren Williams are all valued between the two signal callers.
- We see the remainder of the top 12 backs valued in the range of the QB15-20, which is another reminder of how shaky the final few QB2s are in the current dynasty landscape.
Wide Receiver Trade Values
Rank | Player | Team | Trade Value |
WR1 | Justin Jefferson | MIN | 863 |
WR2 | Ja’Marr Chase | CIN | 839 |
WR3 | CeeDee Lamb | DAL | 815 |
WR4 | Amon-Ra St. Brown | DET | 766 |
WR5 | AJ Brown | PHI | 711 |
WR6 | Garrett Wilson | NYJ | 689 |
WR7 | Chris Olave | NO | 654 |
WR8 | Tyreek Hill | MIA | 624 |
WR9 | Puka Nacua | LAR | 614 |
WR10 | Brandon Aiyuk | SF | 519 |
WR11 | Jaylen Waddle | MIA | 495 |
WR12 | Jordan Addison | MIN | 459 |
- While most rankings suggest that Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb has joined Justin Jefferson and Ja’’arr Chase in the top tier of receivers, it is only the latter two that crack the top seven overall players in our Trade Analyzer values. Lamb is among the top nine assets, following soon after Justin Herbert.
- We alternate a bit between quarterbacks and receivers as these two positions rule the equivalent of the first-round and beyond in a startup draft situation. Amon-Ra St. Brown, AJ Brown and Garrett Wilson come next in the large gap between Joe Burrow and Dak Prescott.
- The final three WR1s, Brandon Aiyuk, Jaylen Waddle and Jordan Addison all fall between Love and Justin Fields. This shows both the gap between those two young quarterbacks as well as the volatility of the low-end WR1s.
Tight End Trade Values
Rank | Player | Team | Trade Value |
TE1 | Sam LaPorta | DET | 553 |
TE2 | TJ Hockenson | MIN | 417 |
TE3 | Mark Andrews | BAL | 362 |
TE4 | Trey McBride | ARI | 345 |
TE5 | Dalton Kincaid | BUF | 301 |
TE6 | Travis Kelce | KC | 291 |
TE7 | Kyle Pitts | ATL | 243 |
TE8 | George Kittle | SF | 200 |
TE9 | Dallas Goedert | PHI | 162 |
TE10 | David Njoku | CLE | 155 |
TE11 | Pat Freiermuth | PIT | 123 |
TE12 | Jake Ferguson | DAL | 116 |
- It’s no surprise that there are no tight ends valued in the same range as the top quarterbacks. You have to go down to the QB13, Love, to find a value equivalent to the TE1 Sam LaPorta.
- After the Lions rookie, there is a huge gap to the TE2 TJ Hockenson, who is valued in the same range as the QB15, Fields. Mark Andrews and Trey McBride follow up in the Jared Goff/Bryce Young neighborhood.
QB Risers
Player | Dec. Trade Value | Jan. Trade Value | Change |
Jordan Love | 347 | 585 | +238 |
Dak Prescott | 513 | 691 | +178 |
Baker Mayfield | 73 | 151 | +77 |
Anthony Richardson | 562 | 636 | +74 |
CJ Stroud | 863 | 921 | +58 |
- After an inconsistent first half of the season, Packers first-year starter Jordan Love caught fire. He was a QB1 in six of his final seven games during the fantasy season and is now sitting just outside the dynasty QB1 range overall.
- The value gain for Anthony Richardson is somewhat surprising but the offseason does offer a clean slate for dynasty managers, so the injuries that may have impacted the rookie’s value in the short term are suddenly forgotten.
QB Fallers
Player | Dec. Trade Value | Jan. Trade Value | Change |
Sam Howell | 301 | 72 | -229 |
Russell Wilson | 252 | 136 | -116 |
Trevor Lawrence | 719 | 632 | -87 |
Bryce Young | 430 | 347 | -82 |
Tua Tagovailoa | 759 | 687 | -73 |
- Both Sam Howell and Russell Wilson were benched late in the season and are likely to land with new teams this off-season. While Wilson will presumably continue to start for his new team, we don’t have that same confidence when it comes to Howell, hence the huge value loss.
