DLF’s April 1QB Trade Value Chart

Ryan McDowell

You probably know a few years ago, DLF created our very own Dynasty Trade Analyzer. While there are many trade tools and calculators on the market available to dynasty managers, ours is the only one to integrate expert dynasty rankings, regularly updated community dynasty ADP and, perhaps most importantly, actual dynasty trades taking place in real dynasty leagues. We combine each of these data points to create a specific value for every dynasty-relevant player, which is updated daily.

What you might not know is that those values are available to each DLF subscriber. Hopefully, you are using the Trade Analyzer to aid you in deciding about each and every dynasty deal you consider, but it can be easy to overlook an option at the top of that Trade Analyzer page.

new

While you’re pondering how much is too much to pay for the rights to the 1.01 rookie pick, take a look at the red box in the image above. Inside, you’ll find “Values.” All of the values. Every numerical value for every player and draft choice you care about in a dynasty league, available in both 1QB and superflex league formats, updated every single day. I’ve had many dynasty managers and DLF subscribers tell me they did not know this was available, so I wanted to be sure we’re all on the same page before we continue.

Now that you’re all caught up, let’s get to it. While our values change daily, those are almost always small shifts, based on ADP or rankings updates or a massive trade that went through in one of our tracked dynasty leagues. Of course, the real change is noticeable over a larger period of time. It is certainly interesting to track this value change over a period of weeks, months or even years. That’s what I’ll be doing for you in this new series. On to the values.

Quarterback

Rank Player Team Trade Value
QB1 Josh Allen BUF 534.31
QB2 Patrick Mahomes KC 511.67
QB3 Jalen Hurts PHI 473.10
QB4 Lamar Jackson BAL 406.89
QB5 CJ Stroud HOU 388.25
QB6 Joe Burrow CIN 361.81
QB7 Justin Herbert LAC 333.99
QB8 Anthony Richardson IND 287.56
QB9 Kyler Murray ARI 262.25
QB10 Trevor Lawrence JAX 252.52
QB11 Jordan Love GB 187.96
QB12 Brock Purdy SF 165.68
  • The top-three quarterbacks remain in the same order as last month, with Bills’ Josh Allen holding the QB1 crown once again. I thought we might see Allen’s value dip after Buffalo dealt Stefon Diggs, leaving the team with no viable WR1.
  • In the same conversation, CJ Stroud is still the QB5, despite the “all-in” move by the Texans to add Diggs to his pass-catching corps, which already included Nico Collins and Tank Dell. If these values are representative of your dynasty league, I would consider Stroud a trade target, flipping one of the top four for him and other pieces.
  • We see a 20+ point value gap between each of the first nine quarterbacks, suggesting that order is likely to stay in place next month. The values get a bit tighter when we get to QB9 Kyler Murray and QB10 Trevor Lawrence. Both have lost pass-catchers to free agency and the Cardinals and Jaguars are both expected to use an early draft pick on a rookie pass catcher.

Running Back

Rank Player Team Trade Value
RB1 Bijan Robinson ATL 869.79
RB2 Breece Hall NYJ 821.05
RB3 Jahmyr Gibbs DET 816.61
RB4 Christian McCaffrey SF 768.36
RB5 Jonathan Taylor IND 683.92
RB6 De’Von Achane MIA 617.73
RB7 Travis Etienne JAX 603.58
RB8 Kyren Williams LAR 549.35
RB9 Kenneth Walker SEA 459.66
RB10 Saquon Barkley PHI 422.50
RB11 Rachaad White TB 385.93
RB12 Josh Jacobs GB 356.32
RB13 James Cook BUF 332.84
RB14 D’Andre Swift CHI 301.17
RB15 Isiah Pacheco KC 289.49
RB16 Tony Pollard TEN 258.27

RB18 Alvin Kamara NO 229.89
RB19 David Montgomery DET 216.26
RB20 Rhamondre Stevenson NE 212.79
RB21 Zach Charbonnet SEA 201.76
RB22 Derrick Henry BAL 190.95
RB23 Austin Ekeler WAS 178.95
RB24 Tyjae Spears TEN 176.55
  • There is no surprise at the top as Falcons second-year back Bijan Robinson is the clear RB1. The addition of Kirk Cousins should continue to boost Robinson’s value throughout the remainder of the offseason months.
  • Meanwhile, Breece Hall holds off Jahmyr Gibbs for the RB2 spot, though the five-point value difference is negligible. This duo is essentially a toss-up and dynasty managers would be glad to have either on their rosters.
  • We see massive value gaps from Gibbs to RB4 Christian McCaffrey, from CMC to Jonathan Taylor and from JT to De’Von Achane. This could be a good time to pivot from McCaffrey to one of the younger backs valued below him, but we’ve also been saying that for a couple of years now.
  • Achane is joined in a tier with Travis Etienne and Kyren Williams after all three enjoyed breakout performances last season. If I am choosing one runner who could crash this tier in the coming months, it would have to be the RB10 Saquon Barkley. After the recent success of the Eagles running game, the upgrade Barkley should experience is being undervalued. I could trade Kenneth Walker for Barkley and a late draft pick? Sign me up!
  • Josh Jacobs gained some nice value following his move to Green Bay via free agency. While Jacobs has been productive through his early career, posting multiple RB1 seasons for the Raiders, I am anxious to see what his numbers look like on a consistently competitive team.

Wide Receiver

WR22 Jaxon Smith-Njigba SEA 487.14
WR23 Rashee Rice KC 462.45
WR24 Deebo Samuel SF 441.85
  • As expected, the trio of Justin Jefferson, CeeDee Lamb and Ja’Marr Chase remain locked in at the top. Lamb and Chase have taken turns holding the WR2 spot in recent months, being valued as near equals.
  • We don’t see a significant value gap until after WR7 Puka Nacua, suggesting the second tier ends between the Rams star and WR8 Chris Olave. Speaking of Olave, I am actually surprised he has maintained his value with the Saints being so cap-strapped they’ve made no significant moves. Receivers like Brandon Aiyuk (WR11), Drake London (WR12) and Michael Pittman (WR13) continue to gain ground and could overtake Olave before the season begins.
  • Both Collins (WR16) and Dell (WR18) are being valued as top-20 dynasty wideouts despite the addition of Diggs, who did not crack the top-24 this month. While I certainly prefer the youth for my dynasty rosters, I think there should be some concern how the veteran’s production could stifle that of the youngsters in Houston.
  • Rashee Rice has continued to maintain his dynasty value as a low-end WR2, despite his off-field issues. A recent report suggests Rice could be looking at a multiple-game suspension, at least. Obviously, if the league chooses to get tough on Rice, he would fall from these WR2 ranks.

Tight End

TE9 David Njoku CLE 139.17
TE10 Dallas Goedert PHI 137.25
TE11 Evan Engram JAX 133.95
TE12 Luke Musgrave GB 108.71
  • I continue to be surprised and impressed at the value gap between TE2 Sam LaPorta and everyone else at the position. Holding a nearly 200-point gap over TE2 Trey McBride, LaPorta is as locked-in as a player can be.
  • Kyle Pitts has moved ahead of Travis Kelce, but his jump up should be even higher. There is uncertainty about the health of TJ Hockenson to begin the season, yet the Vikings still holds a slim lead. If you can make an even flip of Hockenson for Pitts, do it immediately.

Jordan Love 165.49 187.96 22.46
Marvin Mims 69.13 84.84 15.71
  • Drake London and Kyle Pitts continue to gain value as part of the reverberations felt following the signing of Cousins in Atlanta. All the whining and complaining we did over the past two seasons will swiftly be forgotten as soon as Cousins connects with his young pass-catchers.
  • Jacobs leaving the Raiders for Green Bay helped him continue to gain value, but also gave a boost to his former teammate, Zamir White. The presumed starter, for now, White has been a trendy recent value-gainer. I am worried that his one-dimensional role could quickly push his value down or simply cause the Raiders to add to their backfield.
  • The Broncos dealt Jerry Jeudy to the Browns, which gave a nice value bump to Marvin Mims. Although he was a disappointment as a rookie last season, Mims could certainly be in line for a larger role. According to some reports, the Broncos are even engaging in trade talks for receiver Courtland Sutton, who is looking for a new contract. Mims might not be done gaining value this offseason.

  • Steelers backup quarterback Justin Fields is once again the top faller on the board as the dynasty community continues to come to grips with his new value. As I’ve said before, I actually like buying low on Fields if that opportunity arises, but many dynasty managers are not yet accepting the new reality of how to value the former Bear.
  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s value seemingly hinged on veteran Tyler Lockett moving on and opening the Seahawks depth chart. When that didn’t happen, JSN began to tumble.
  • Free agency clearly had a major impact on player value as Tyjae Spears shows up as one of the biggest value losers of the month. The Titans aggressively added Tony Pollard following the departure of Derrick Henry.
  • While the Diggs’ trade had little impact on Collins or Dell, as previously discussed, it did push the former Bill even further down the receiver ranks. Only Smith-Njigba lost more value among receivers last month.

We’ll take another look next month!
