2025 Dynasty Fantasy Football Rookie Profile: Elijah Arroyo, TE Miami

Lewis Wood

Athleticism and combine performance are more important at the tight end position than any other. This has been proven again and again - if a tight end has the right athletic gifts, they can develop and break out late in the NFL even if they didn’t showcase a high level of production in college.

This is the hope for Elijah Arroyo out of Miami. The upside is clear - he’s one of the most exciting athletes in the class and has showcased huge potential. But he never put it together in college, suffering knee injuries in 2022 and 2023 and ultimately only finishing college with 753 receiving yards.

So what is the case for Arroyo? Should we trust the potential or trust the production? Let’s take a deep dive into his profile.

The Stats

Arroyo’s collegiate stats courtesy of Sports Reference.

Arroyo was a four-star recruit out of Texas who was offered a place at essentially every single high profile program in the country. He flashed his potential in his true freshman season, starting twelve games and recording his first ever receiving touchdown. However, the rest of his career did not follow the same trajectory. After five receptions in year one, he only had six more in the next two years. He suffered knee injuries in both 202 and 2024, disappointing for a player who seemed primed for a breakout and continued development after being so heavily recruited coming out of high school.
