2024 Dynasty Division Outlook: AFC West

Eric Hardter

With the Draft in the books, we’re covering each NFL division’s dynasty fantasy football outlook. We’ll bring you an overview of each team, highlight the best and worst positional groups, and make some predictions for the division as a whole. Let’s jump into it!

Denver Broncos

Finishing 8-9 in veteran head coach Sean Payton’s first year in the Mile High City, the Broncos are incredibly still seeking out their first winning season since 2016. If nothing else, the former Saints leading man is putting his stamp on the program. Gone are quarterback Russell Wilson and receiver Jerry Jeudy, to be ostensibly replaced by rookie first round pick Bo Nix, and his collegiate teammate Troy Franklin. The Denver front office even took a chance on Jets draft bust Zach Wilson in what can only be described as a near-complete overhaul.

If nothing else, Nix enters 2024 as one of the most pro-ready signal callers of all time. The 2023 Heisman finalist attempted a whopping 1,936 passes across five seasons with both Auburn and Oregon, nearly leading the Ducks to the NCAA playoffs. And while it’s a bit trite to say “Of course, he should have improved, he’s a 24-year-old rookie,” the fact is Nix made major strides throughout his collegiate tenure.
