Oregon wide receiver Troy Franklin is reportedly slipping down draft boards.
Franklin was hardly a bust at the NFL Draft Combine, recording the 6th best total score among wide receivers based on NFL Next Gen Stats. The problem is he came into the weekend with questions about his short area burst needing answered. Unfortunately for him, his 1.61 10-yard split was worst among receivers so that answer may have been provided. While this is likely going to be overblown and overmagnified, it's still a serious knock on him. Franklin was in the mix to be the 4th receiver off the board but others have likely passed him at this point. He looks like a second round rookie pick at the moment.
