Darius Slayton is an American football wide receiver for the New York Giants of the National Football League. He played college football at Auburn and was drafted by the Giants in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Giants receiver Darius Slayton produced 79 yards on 6-of-7 receiving in the team's stunning win over the Packers in week five.
Slayton was on the outs leading up to the regular season but the team could find no takers in trade. Following nagging injuries to Kadarius Toney and rookie Wan'Dale Robinson in combination with the loss of Sterling Shepard (ACL) for the season and Kenny Golladay's complete disappearance, Slayton has found a role again and led all Giants receivers in the London win. It's hard to imagine the 25-year-old will leverage the momentum into dynasty prominence once again but stranger things have happened, exemplified by the G-Men's 4-1 record thus far in 2022. Darius Slayton is nearly off the dynasty radar as DLF's WR122.

The Giants have restructured the contract of Darius Slayton.
Slayton cut his pay from $2.5 million to $965,000 to likely avoid being released. After showing promise his rookie season by posting a 48/740/8 line, Slayton has struggled to make any type of an impact and was only able to post 26 catches for 339 yards and two scores last year as he tumbled down the depth chart. His dynasty value has cratered as he's all the way down to WR113 at the moment. A change of scenery would have been best for him and Slayton can be best left on the waiver wire at the moment.

No Giants player has fallen further this offseason than that of receiver Darius Slayton
Even with injuries sidelining three receivers above him on the depth chart, Slayton still didn't mix in with the first-team. Running with the second and third teams, he remains inconsistent and is in danger of missing the cut. As an added incentive to send the receiver packing, the team can gain $2.5M of cap savings be trading or releasing him. Now 25, Slayton showed promised in his first two years with the Giants before turning in a disappointing 2021 campaign. He's now all but fallen from the dynasty radar and is listed as DLF's WR104. Look for Slayton to be released in the coming weeks or perhaps traded (CHI?) into a better situation.
