Jones will be a free agent in 2021 and the team has given every indication it plans to get younger at the skill positions on offense. Jones remains in the prime of his career and while he's best suited as a dynamic upside third-down back, he's also shown the ability to pound it between the tackles when needed, though that didn't stop the Packers from adding the the mammoth-size back A.J. Dillon in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. While Dillon doesn't project as a three-down back, notice may have been served about the team's intentions at the position. On odd disconnect remains for 2019's RB2 (PPR) as he only carries an RB17 value on DLF's running back rankings, clearly indicating a lack of confidence about Jones' long term prognosis. Jones will have every motivation to have a follow-on year to boost his 2021 value and is a strong bet to have another solid campaign in 2020.
