2025 Rookies with Injury Concerns: Tight End

Kyle Trimble

Every year, the NFL draft has several “can’t miss” tight end prospects who are supposed to be a quarterback's new favorite weapon. Each team is looking for their next Rob Gronkowski, Travis Kelce, or George Kittle. The tight end position has transformed from an extra blocker to an all-around playmaker, creating mismatches against every level of the defense.

In the chase for the next great tight end, teams sometimes reach on a player, hoping to maximize their potential. Occasionally, they pan out with proper development. Other times, they never take that next step or get injured. There are many potholes in finding a good tight end, not only from a developmental standpoint but injury concerns as well.

Today, we look at some of the top 2025 tight end prospects to give you the latest scoop on injury concerns for your favorite team and fantasy squads moving forward.

Tyler Warren, Penn State

2022 - Undisclosed injury, vs Central Michigan, missed one game.

Warren has been one of the more dominant tight ends in recent memory entering the NFL Draft. In 2024, Warren was the John Mackey Award winner, All-American, and left Penn State as the career leader for tight ends for yards, touchdowns, and receptions.

On top of his accolades, Warren has been incredibly healthy, missing just one game during his career. As the #1 and #6 overall in the DLF dynasty rookie rankings, there are no reservations in selecting him and is worth chasing up the board.
