The NFL owners failed to pass a rule banning the "tush push."
Read moreXavier Restrepo was a three-star prospect in the 2020 class and was ranked by 247 Sports as the 36th athlete. In the last two years, he broke out as a key performer for the Miami Hurricanes and received grades over 80 from Pro Football Focus. He almost exclusively played out of the slot, with over 90% of his snaps coming from that alignment. Restrepo won in college with quickness and good route running, but how does he translate to the NFL? Let’s take a look at his draft profile.
Restrepo had a slow start to his career at Miami. In his first three years, he only had 46 receptions for 625 total receiving yards. He broke out in 2023 with 85 receptions for 1,092 yards and six touchdowns. With the help of Cam Ward, Restrepo had an even better year in 2024. He finished with fewer catches than in 2023 but more yards, touchdowns, and a higher per-catch average. For a player his size, Restrepo had an impressive contested catch rate over 50%. In his last year, he had a 7.5 average yards after the catch, which was almost two yards over his career average.
