2025 1QB Rookie Mock Draft

We are in the final stages of draft season. Fantasy managers are dreaming of the perfect landing spot for their favorite prospects. Optimism is at an all-time high before unexpected draft slides and awkward team fits throw a wet blanket all over our unbridled enthusiasm.

This mock draft is not given the benefit of draft results, yet it is intended to give an early look at how things may shake out if rookies were drafted today.

Round One

1.01: Ashton Jeanty, RB Boise State

Even in superflex formats, Jeanty is the heavy favorite to go first overall in rookie drafts. The most contrarian drafters among us would have a difficult time going away from Jeanty in single-quarterback formats.

Jeanty is one of the better running back prospects we have seen in recent memory and possesses the ability to control a backfield from day one. His 5’9” and 215-pound frame looks like it was factory-made to be a running back. He slithers off approaching tacklers, showcasing elite contact balance that few backs can claim to have. He marries his eyes with his feet, constantly navigating the tight spaces of the field to create extra yardage.

It is dangerous to call anyone a can’t-miss prospect, but Jeanty is as close as they come. He profiles as a first-round startup pick as a rookie and a back who could make fantasy waves for years to come.
