Quarterback

• Jayden Daniels’ slide speaks to the fickleness of the market. A midseason lull – and lull may be a strong term – exacerbated by a rib injury led to Daniels becoming more human than normal. The entire body of work, however, is fantastic, and Daniels looks like a superstar both in the NFL and fantasy leagues. I would expect him to rise again once this exercise is reexamined.
• Fellow rookie Caleb Williams is moving up, landing at QB8 and surpassing a trio of fellow young passers in CJ Stroud, Anthony Richardson, and Brock Purdy. Williams’ struggles this year were well-documented, but he had some big moments and the final numbers (3,541 passing yards with a 20:6 TD:INT ratio and 489 rushing yards) offer hope he can develop into a fantasy factor. The Bears nailing the coaching hire will be critical in Williams becoming a set-and-forget QB1.
