The Washington Commanders have re-signed wide receiver Noah Brown.
Read moreYears ago, the post-Super Bowl months of February through July were considered “dynasty season.” While dynasty is still king here at DLF, we recognize the impact that best ball leagues have had on the fantasy football community. Perhaps the biggest impact that best ball leagues have had on our dynasty game is simply the depth and breadth of strategy discussed and employed in these leagues.
One very common strategy that has certainly leaked into the dynasty game is the act of “stacking.” Typically, this means pairing a quarterback and wide receiver from the same team, but it can also include tight ends or even running backs. The idea of having multiple players from one team was something once avoided at all costs.
Now, stacking offers dynasty managers the chance to have exposure to a larger percentage of the league’s top offenses. A Patrick Mahomes' touchdown pass doesn’t have to be worth just six points. Paired with Travis Kelce or Xavier Worthy, it could be a major boost to your fantasy lineup.
Choosing which stacks to target is very similar to picking players in general, but with a heavier lean on team-level data. Focusing on a team’s strength of schedule, pace of play, and expected point total can guide you into which stack is the best for your team. The latter two factors can be seen here, thanks to Hayden Winks from Underdog Fantasy.
Of course, since we’re playing dynasty, we also have to keep an eye on the future.
Obviously, you can stack nearly any team, but I recently dug into the latest DLF superflex dynasty ADP to find 14 realistic, and hopefully profitable, stacks for your dynasty team.
