The Raiders have signed quarterback Geno Smith to a two-year, $85 million extension.
Read moreOne of the biggest risers since the 2024 college football season ended has been Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart. After being viewed as a solid quarterback with some upside during the season, he has now risen to the point where some people are ranking him as the second-best QB in the class ahead of Shedeur Sanders.
Is there substance to this rise, or is this just hype due to overthinking things at this stage of the process? Let’s take a closer look to find the answer.
If there is one area Jaxson Dart has always been impressive in, it’s his statistical production. After transferring from USC to Ole Miss for the 2022 season due to Caleb Williams transferring to USC, Dart has thrown at least 20 passing touchdowns in all three seasons at Ole Miss. Also, his statistics continued to improve each year peaking at a completion percentage of 69.3% while throwing for 4279 passing yards, 29 touchdowns, and six interceptions in 2024.
In addition to his passing, he ran for nearly 400 yards every season at Ole Miss to add more upside. Also, while his sack totals have increased over the past few seasons, his sack rate and fumble rate both decreased from 2023 to 2024.
