Future Dynasty Stars: Devy 80-76

Rob Willette

The annual Devy 100 is an exercise in identifying the best dynasty fantasy prospects within the college game. Given the sheer breadth of the project, it will fall short of a one hundred percent hit rate (independent outside sources have tabbed it at around 98.4 percent) yet can still be a valuable resource when embarking on a devy draft or identifying players to move or target via trade. Of course, you can always reference the full devy rankings at DLF as well.

The introduction of NIL into the college football space has made the devy ranks deeper than ever, with players often opting to stay an additional season to improve their draft stock and collect some cash while they do it. It led to some tough cuts, though NIL in conjunction with the portal has also helped raise the profile of some prospects who may have struggled to reach the national consciousness previously.

A recap of last year’s Devy 100 with links to each article can be found here. Below are the next five in the group.

80. Tavien St. Clair, QB Ohio State (2028 Draft-Eligible)

Profile: At 6’4” and 225 pounds with a Peyton Manning-esque laser rocket arm, St. Clair is quite possibly the most physically developed quarterback in this cycle. While many top recruits transfer to premier schools or preparatory academies, the Ohio State recruit plied his trade at Bellefontaine High School and has spoken with pride about being the rare big-time recruit from his small town.

His powerful frame allows him to operate as a man amongst boys at the high school level, and he generates velocity with smooth mechanics. While not a high-level athlete, he can make plays with his legs, and most importantly utilizes athleticism within the pocket to keep his eyes downfield on the move. Loaded with tools and joining a true blue blood program with high-end coaching, it would be of little surprise if St. Clair developed into the best quarterback in this class.

2025 Outlook: The Buckeye quarterback room will be awfully young in 2025. Redshirt freshman Julian Sayin is the presumptive starter with redshirt sophomore Lincoln Kienholz behind him. St. Clair should not see much time if all goes to plan, but assuming the Buckeyes do not hit the transfer portal at the position, there will be an opportunity if the unproven Sayin and Kienholz scuffle.

79. Jayce Brown, WR Kansas State (2026 Draft-Eligible)
