The San Francisco 49ers have traded running back Jordan Mason to the Minnesota Vikings.
Dynasty Analysis
Well, there you have it. The Vikings have been rumored to be in the market for a young running back to pair with Aaron Jones and they've now found their man in Mason. As a fill-in for the injured Christian McCaffrey, Mason was fantastic last season, rushing for 789 yards on 5.2 yards per carry. While he doesn't offer much in the passing game (14 career catches in 45 games played), Mason is just 25 years old and should make a nice pairing with Jones. This signing is going to really damper Jones' value and should keep Mason in the running back mix as it now looks like he'll be part of a solid committee instead of a true backup to Christian McCaffrey. In the end, this is a good move for his dynasty value.
