2025 Dynasty Fantasy Football Rookie Profile: Emeka Egbuka, WR Ohio State

The arms race between Ohio State and LSU for the title of WRU tilted heavily in favor of the Tigers after the rookie seasons of Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. Ohio State looks to strike back with Emeka Egbuka who is another in a long line of first-round draft prospects.

Egbuka played second fiddle for most of his career in Columbus to other great players, but he showed enough talent to solidify himself as a future pro. Let’s dive into his prospect profile before the NFL draft next month.

The Stats

Egbuka was the #1 overall receiver recruit in the 2021 class and committed to Ohio State as part of their incredible recruiting class that season. Egbuka missed his senior season because of COVID, but during his junior year, he caught 83 passes for 1,607 yards and 25 touchdowns which earned him Washington Gatorade Player of the Year.

Egbuka spent all four years at Ohio State and had an incredible career; he set the school record for career receptions with 205 which is quite the feat when looking at the illustrious history of Ohio State receivers. He struggled to find the field much in year one but that makes sense when you see that the wide receiver room consisted of Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Julian Fleming, and Marvin Harrison Jr.
