Tomorrow’s Dynasty Star Today: Theo Johnson

If you drafted Puka Nacua in the fourth round of your rookie draft in 2023, you know how important it can be to buy low on a young player before they explode. Not every player will turn out to be Nacua - after all, he’s statistically the greatest rookie wide receiver of all time. But one of the smartest strategies to be a successful dynasty player is to identify young talent ready to rise up in value in the future.

Giants rookies two weeks in a row? Who’d have thought?

Johnson is in a very different category to our last Tomorrow’s Dynasty Star Today, Malik Nabers. Nabers is already a star who is waiting to be elevated into the true superstar category. Johnson is a star in the making. With tight ends, it typically takes a fair amount of time for them to develop into startable assets in fantasy football - not every tight end is Sam LaPorta (although look how that’s started off in year two!). However,  Johnson has all of the tools to develop into a great asset at the tight end position, especially considering the down year we’re seeing across the board from TEs.
