New Jets Head Coach Aaron Glenn has been quiet on the future of Aaron Rodgers.
Read moreAnother off-season is upon us, and it presents another opportunity to look at mock draft results in preparation for next year. After a full off-season writing this series a year ago, I needed to figure out where to start this year, but everyone LOVES rookies, so it seemed like a great spot to kick things off in 2024 - where are the 2023 rookies today?
I will look back at DLF's mock draft ADP from February of 2023, the first time the rookie class appeared in mocks. Then, I'm going to look at ADP from June following the NFL draft once we had their landing spots in place. Finally, I'll compare those mocks with the most recent mock drafts from December and see what rookies are moving up, down, and all around in mock drafts as year one comes to a close.
Initial Introduction To The Class
Looking at the initial top 48, there are quite a few eye-popping ADPs in hindsight. This data showed rookie placement among veterans and wasn't necessarily reflective of rookie ADP at the time. For example, Kayshon Boutte was going ahead of Zay Flowers in startup mocks but not in rookie drafts. It's hard to imagine a time when Boutte, Zach Evans, and Jalin Hyatt were in the top 12 of this rookie class as we now head into the Super Bowl.
