Following a workout earlier this week, Green's ankle did not respond well and began swelling. He tore multiple ligaments during the preseason and hasn't seen the field since and it's safe to wonder if he'll return in 2019. The Bengals didn't move on from the 2020 free agent and Green, himself, has said he wants to remain with the team for the long haul but it's beginning to look like the club may have missed an opportunity to receive compensation for an aging player who has struggled with injuries over the past few years. Now 31, and turning 32 prior to kickoff of the 2020 season, the odds that Green won't play another down in the NFL continues to rise and even if he does return to the field, his best production is clearly in the review mirror at this point in his career. A.J Green is currently ranked as DLF's WR37 and the pace of his descent continues to increase.
