The 49ers have signed wide receiver Demarcus Robinson.
Read moreThe biggest advantage in dynasty is knowing how to consistently restock your roster with talent at their cheapest price. This gives you such a huge edge over your league - even if you sell a prospect too soon, you’ll still have returned on your investment and improved your roster in the process. If you can find value with your third and fourth-round rookie picks, you have a great chance of competing in the future. We expect our first rounders to improve our teams, but if we’re consistently nailing picks later down the board, our roster depth will explode.
There have been some great examples of this recently. Puka Nacua as a fourth-round pick in 2023 was an elite example of value, but other like Amon-Ra St. Brown, Bucky Irving, Kyren Williams and Nico Collins have shown that you can always find options late down the board with effective pre-draft evaluations.
From my YouTube series where I’m midway through creating 50 rookie profiles in 50 days, here are four rookies currently going in the third round or later that you need to target.
Felton has been my guy in this draft since I turned on his tape. The three things I love to see from rookie receivers are lineup versatility, ability to work all three levels of the field, and agility/quickness over long speed. Felton absolutely nailed all three of these boxes for me. His combine performance will have sent some more attention his way, but his first 1,000-yard season in 2024 established him as a day two pick. Watching his film, the route running ability is clear, and he profiles similarly to me to Jalen McMillan who showed the same versatility. Felton has a skinnier frame and will struggle with physicality, but his shiftiness and ability to win at all three phases of the route shined on tape and should see him translate immediately to the NFL as a WR2.
Per DLF’s consensus superflex rankings, Felton is currently ranked at the 3.10 as WR16.
