Four Quarterbacks to Buy, Sell, or Hold in Dynasty Leagues

Wyatt Bertolone

Welcome to the Positional Buy Sell Hold series, where each week I’ll be focusing on one position to analyze four players and what we should be doing with them in dynasty. This week I’ll be discussing quarterbacks.

Jalen Hurts, QB PHI – Hold

2024 was another solid season from Hurts. He scored 20.8 points per game but that number is actually his lowest in the last three years. With Saquon Barkley on the team, the Eagles became even more run-heavy than before, leading to fewer pass attempts for Hurts which in turn led to his dip in fantasy points. Still, 20.8 PPG is a difference-making score which goes to show you that even in a “down year”, Hurts gives you an advantage at the position. Coming off their Super Bowl win, the Eagles will be bringing back all their major players on offense. Hurts is obviously near the top of his position, but should you be buying?

The Move – There have been small pockets in time when the fantasy community has soured on Jalen Hurts a bit, which would open up buy windows for him but right now is certainly not that time. Hurts is a top five quarterback across the dynasty market and it’s well deserved so trading for him will be extremely tough. Unless I had a couple extra first-round rookie picks laying around to buy something with, it’s not a price I’m lining up to pay. On the other side of things, I’m not even willing to tier down from Hurts. He’s the last of the quarterbacks in the most elite tier and once I have a quarterback in that tier I don’t want to let go of them unless someone is willing to overpay.
