Dynasty League Spotlight: Shark Tank 4 – Heroes
There’s your traditional fantasy dynasty leagues, and then there’s IDP! People who play in these leagues know that it’s not just the offensive plays you see on NFL Redzone that get you excited, but more so that big Defensive Tackle who has just sacked Sam Howell for the fourth time.
The Shark Tank leagues are most definitely a unique blend of settings, people, and strategies.
IDP people are built differently and that’s why it’s fun. This upcoming start-up will pit forty-five heroes of IDP against one another, across three divisions. There will be 3 copies of each player available in the auction start-up. You are allowed to tank, the only rule being that you must start active players in your lineup, if available, but this league won’t incentivize tanking so managers need to be sure about that strategy.
So, here’s where you come in!
I want you, the DLF IDP community, to have your input into how a team will be built, what bids we make during the auction, trading decisions, waiver moves, the whole hog. Can our hive mind take down the competition and come away with the championship title?
If you haven’t joined the DLF Discord yet, then this is your chance to do so. Not only will you find a community of over 3,500 dynasty players, but it’s also the chosen vehicle to drive this experiment. I might be the driver, but you are the Sat Navs! The Discord channel is bubbling with competitive banter and back-handed compliments, but an underlying appreciation of each other and the community built around the leagues.
Some early details on the league can be found below, and I will be back with a rundown of the scoring settings, and discuss positional values associated with them. But for now, think about how you can participate. Get your rankings out, get your tiers together, and start thinking about dynasty startup values and auction strategy. 10 player taxi squad for rookies/devy players (Yes, there is a devy aspect to the league)

Startup Auction
You will get $2000 for the startup auction.
The auction is a slow auction with about a 12 hour clock that resets on a change of the highest bidder.
It is proxy aka Ebay style so that you don’t see the highest bid.
You’re not required to draft a full roster.
You’re not required to draft a starting lineup
You’re not required to draft any player. You just need to acquire a 21 player starting lineup before week 1.
Rookie Auction
To be held beginning on the 3rd Monday after the NFL draft each year.
Rookies will be dispersed via an auction. You will use your bankroll for this.
Devy Auction
To be held beginning on February 23rd each year. In the startup year, it’ll be held on July 23rd.
Players eligible must be entering college or available to play college football in the upcoming season. Players still in high school or leaving college are not eligible.
Waivers
You’ll always use bankroll for waiver moves.
We’ll have an open auction board where you can put up players in-season and in the off-season.
