Dynasty Rookie Report Card: Drake Maye and Kimani Vidal

Each week throughout the 2024 NFL season, I’ll cover two rookies in the Rookie Report Card and will generally write about the most prominent performers from that particular week. I’ll discuss how well he’s lived up to expectations at the NFL level and then grade the player in three categories: performance to date, rookie season potential, and long-term upside.

Drake Maye, QB NE

Week 16 stats: 22 completions on 36 attempts for 261 passing yards with two touchdowns and one interception and six carries for 30 rushing yards.

In a surprisingly competitive game between the 3-11 Patriots and 11-3 Bills, Maye had one of the better performances of his young career, keeping the Patriots in a game where they were a 14-point underdog. I would consider this a typical game from Maye, as his totals in this contest were very close to his season averages. He did nothing to lose you the week while also not doing anything to really help you win, either, finishing as QB15 for week 16.
