And while there is plenty of time ahead of us, I wanted to look at some of the more surprising players in their respective top-12s and some of the top-12 omissions among players who we all thought were top options, who simply haven't lived up to the hype just yet.
I was originally eyeballing Baker Mayfield here at QB3, but he did have a top-ten finish last year with the same supporting cast, so his early success in 2024 shouldn't be a complete shocker to many. On the other hand, nobody saw this coming from Sam Darnold. Darnold is leading one of only two undefeated teams through four weeks, and if the season continues on this trajectory, he will be an MVP candidate.
