Due to popular demand, we have brought back our weekly Dynasty Waiver Wire coverage!
We won’t be forcing waiver wire advice or suggestions. Instead, expect to see a wide-ranging number of players each week, based solely on increasing snaps, injury or any combination of events that suggest a player’s status could change in the future. You can expect we will be providing a bit of justification for the addition as well as just how deep the particular player is. It’s a format that we’ll likely be playing with over the coming weeks. We are only highlighting those players that we believe deserve some level of attention, not merely players who happen to see targets or log a carry. As is always the case in fantasy, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Without further delay, let’s get to your week ten waiver wire additions:

Blaine Gabbert, QB ARI
He didn’t look half bad and is likely going to be starting for some time in the desert. He threw for 257 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions on Sunday. Best of all, he knows where his bread is buttered as he fed Larry Fitzgerald 10 targets. You could do a lot worse as an emergency fill-in or in 2QB formats.
Ricky Seals-Jones, TE ARI
Seals-Jones is the type of player DLF likes to get into your hands before the rest of the fantasy world even know he exists but that just wasn’t possible in this case as he literally came from nowhere to catch three balls for 54 yards and two touchdowns on five targets. The 6’5″ product from Texas A&M is going to be a hot addition but many won’t rush out to add him due to only one game of stats. Best to be quick in this case. There’s no way to forecast what he’ll be but the tight end position is the easiest to snag tomorrow’s starters during the season; every year there is at least one within the position that rises from anonymity. Ricky Seals-Jones may just be that tight end for 2017.
Andre Ellington, RB ARI
Ellington may be rostered but he’s more than likely on your waiver wire. Not a lot to get excited about here but with Chris Thompson now done for the season, Ellington may be in play for the Redskins now that he’s been released by the Cardinals. Keep an eye on him.
Alex Erickson, WR CIN
It’s really early to be considering Erickson and he’s only accumulated 12 targets thus far in 2017, but he converted both of his targets this last week for 42 yards and a touchdown. Just not much intrigue here but it’s been such an odd year and the Bengals need consistency from the slot so Erickson could continue to get looks. He’s an ultra-deep roster stash only and, even then, he’s best only as a ‘watch’ at this point.
Noah Brown, WR DAL
Brown is my favorite deep sleeper for 2017 following Keelan Cole in Jacksonville. With a big frame at 6’2″ and 225 lbs., he’s got outside receiver ability. At his Ohio State pro-day he ran an unconfirmed 4.55 40-time, very respectable for a player of his size. He’s not a blazer by any stretch, but the seventh round prospect is an upside-rookie on a roster with snaps available at the position. He’s only a deep roster stash at this juncture but continue to watch his game log for increased snaps and targets, or, add now for a short-term hold to see if he emerges down the stretch.

Well I only can pick up one more FA this season for one of my TE-needy rebuilds and consider RSJ there. But something about his performance smells funny…he played mostly special teams and was only on the field for 8 offensive snaps, getting targetted on 5 of them. I didn’t see the game, but it looks to me like they only used him in a very small personnel group, probably to exploit a very specific matchup.
Aye, I passed. There are still 6 weeks to be played, so I’ll rather look if someone emerges who I actually have on my radar. Or if he has another nice performance, though I probably won’t get him with the minimum bid then.
Plus my roster already has a crop of stash players (including K. Cole, thanks to you), so in a few weeks I may have a better idea who will be expendable again. I’ll still keep an eye on him though.
hi Jeff – how do rate Andre Ellington versus Byron Marshall as a pick up? Thanks
Really like Mike Davis down the stretch in Seattle
