Welcome to the 'Buy, Sell, or Hold' series where each week I’ll be focusing on one position to analyze four players and what we should be doing with them. This week I’ll be taking a look at four running backs fighting for opportunities in their respective backfields.
Jaleel McLaughlin, RB DEN - Hold
An undersized and undrafted free agent, seemingly handpicked by Sean Payton, McLaughlin made a surprising impact in 2023. He was able to earn a 7.6% target share and had some impressive efficiency metrics. He ranked sixth in juke rate, tenth in yards per touch, and sixth in yards created per touch. With his arrival, the Broncos backfield is an interesting one. Javonte Williams was expected to be the next big thing but a horrible knee injury has slowed him down and Samaje Perine is a solid but uninspiring veteran. Can McLaughlin continue to carve out a role?
