2024 Dynasty Fantasy Football Rookie Profile: Ladd McConkey, WR Georgia

Tim Riordan

Ladd McConkey is one of the most interesting wide receivers in this NFL Draft class. Film analysts and data analysts will have very different opinions of him. He lacked production at the college level, but when he was on the field he looked electric. He is getting some first-round draft buzz, but NFL teams and fantasy managers will need to decide which side of the coin they trust the most, the film or the analytics.

We’ll dig into it all with McConkey and determine his value in dynasty fantasy football leagues.

A three-star recruit out of Chatsworth, GA, McConkey did not gain the attention of big-conference schools in the recruiting process. He played quarterback, running back, defensive back, punter and kick returner at various times in his high school career at North Murray High School. In his senior year, he led North Murray to a 9-1 record and a regional championship, accumulating 3,051 total yards and 36 total touchdowns. He grew up a Tennessee fan, as Chatsworth is only an hour southeast of Chattanooga. When Tennessee didn’t extend an offer to him, McConkey made the decision to attend Georgia, where he would go on to win two National Championships as a Bulldog.
