Four Quarterbacks to Buy, Sell, or Hold in Dynasty Leagues

As free agency kicks off, everything we know is about to change. Information is constantly changing and the dynasty values will move in lock-step with it. This series will focus on that market pulse by highlighting players at each spot. Here are quarterbacks to think about right now:

Geno Smith, SEA - Sell

Smith recently agreed to an extension to stay with the Seahawks. Good news, right? Yes, for the sake of his dynasty market, the sentiment will be that he has security and likely, falls into a range where other teams will be okay trading for him. Ultimately, his contract has no guarantees past this season and the team could easily use their fifth overall selection to add a quarterback. While not likely, the idea is not crazy and there are still questions if the efficiency he showed in 2022 is sustainable. Ultimately, I want to take advantage of a sell window for this profile while the market is bought in.

The Move – The move on Smith is to sell him for his value plus a more volatile quarterback. I am looking for a leverage trade where I get back a second-round pick and another player who could start, but is not seen with the same safety. Jimmy Garoppolo comes to mind. Ryan Tannehill may be a name you can acquire. Jameis Winston or Baker Mayfield are wild cards, but if they start, could easily fill the same slot Smith occupies.
