Dynasty Injury Report: Week 13

Kyle Trimble

As we enter the final month of 2023, we not only enter a crucial time for the NFL playoffs, but fantasy football playoffs. This is the time of year where hopes and dreams either come to fruition or go to die. One bad week can destroy an otherwise great season or an ill-timed injury can propel you to an unlikely win.

My name is Kyle Trimble, I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy, the other half of the injury analyst team here at Dynasty League Football. We are here each and every week breaking down the latest injuries and providing perspective on how to navigate the pitfalls that are injuries.

I would also encourage you to tune in to the DLF YouTube channel (make sure to subscribe!) to tune in to helpful content throughout the week.

Let’s look at the various injuries heading into week 14 and any concerns moving forward.

Trevor Lawrence, QB JAC

Injury: Right ankle sprain

Return to Play: Week 14-15

Lawrence exited Monday’s game in significant pain late in the fourth quarter with a right ankle injury. This came as a result of his left tackle stepping on the inside portion of Lawrence’s ankle as he was blocking. This forced the ankle into inversion and took him down to the ground in pain.

He was unable to place weight through the right leg as he required assistance to get off the field for further testing. Fortunately, the injury appeared far worse than what it really was, a low ankle sprain. This is by far the best news the Jaguars could have been given considering the circumstances. He can realistically play through the injury next week and should not be removed from your lineups, though I wouldn’t expect as much mobility in or outside the pocket.

Kenny Pickett, QB PIT
