Dynasty Fantasy Football Rankings: Cornerstone Report, Week 13

Shane Hallam

Welcome to the Cornerstone Report where we will check in on the young players in football (2024 eligible, rookies, and second year) each week! As the hottest commodities in dynasty and devy, these players can make or break your teams in the future. Here are some of the top headlines and reports for the future of the league.

Braelon Allen, RB Wisconsin declares for the NFL Draft

The first high-profile declaration for the draft has hit, with Allen opting to forego Wisconsin’s Bowl Game to prepare for the draft. In an RB class that does not have an elite option, Allen will certainly make his case to be a top-50 draft pick. Being the youngest player in the class (Allen will only be 20 years old when drafted) who has still been a dominant runner from his first time on campus, there is potential to be the first RB off the board. At 6’2, 245 pounds with 4.50 type straight-line speed, there is a lot to like as a future bellcow runner in the NFL.

Blake Corum, RB Michigan scores twice on the Buckeyes

Corum was a Heisman contender last season and has had a solid year again. Though he was not able to go off for 200 yards in “The Game”, two touchdowns with 88 yards rushing was solid against a top-five Ohio State defense. Corum is short, but he packs a punch and has the lateral agility to make defenders miss. He will have a shot to go in the top 100 of the NFL Draft this year.

Tank Dell, WR HOU goes off again

It feels like a Houston Texan makes the Cornerstone Report every week, but Dell is leaping up dynasty rankings by consistently getting open and making big plays. With six touches for 62 yards and a touchdown, Dell had another excellent performance. He is starting to push into the top 12 dynasty WRs in rankings with the potential to be tied to a stud QB in CJ Stroud for a long time.

Zach Charbonnet, RB SEA disappoints in starting debut

When Kenneth Walker went down with injury, fantasy owners saw this as the big opportunity for the rookie Charbonnet. The positive was that he was utilized in the passing game catching all four of his targets. But, even with a tough match-up against the 49ers, 3.4 yards per carry won’t cut it. Charbonnet will continue getting opportunities, so there may still be hope.

Kenny Pickett, QB PIT shows some promise with new Offensive Coordinator

After firing OC Matt Canada, the Steelers finally had over 400 yards of offense for the first time since he was hired. Pickett started to show some promise throwing to the middle of the field as the scheme and playcalls were adjusted. Though he did not throw for a touchdown, Pickett’s 278 yards passing were the second largest of his entire career. With weapons like Jaylen Warren also emerging for the Steelers, Pickett has the potential to keep improving and get to fantasy relevancy.

Kyren Williams, RB LAR is dominant when back from injury

There may have been some trepidation to start Williams coming off of an ankle injury, but he had one of the best RB games of the season this past week. With 22 touches for 204 yards and a touchdown, Williams slashed through the Arizona Cardinals’ defense. His dynasty value is tricky as an injury-prone RB who may not have high-end athleticism, but the production is hard to bypass. Either way, Williams is making his case to hold the job for years in the future.
