Dynasty Fantasy Football Trades

Richard Cooling

Taking advantage of potential valuation trends in the trade market is imperative. That is even more true during the season when players can experience wild valuation changes on a week-to-week basis. Each week, I will be highlighting some players you should be looking to move or acquire and the reasons why.

Buy - Jonathan Mingo, WR CAR

During the draft process, I was not the biggest fan of Mingo. I struggled to see him separate on film, and his production profile did not perform very well in my rookie model, meaning he was my rookie WR9. However, while he has yet to produce anything more than 10.2 PPR points in a given week, the underlying numbers are there. The Panthers have committed to Mingo and have a clear gap at wide receiver for him to step into. On the season, he has seen a 15.5% target share while participating in 77.5% of routes.

However, on Sunday, he ran a route on 97.5% of pass plays and commanded a 16.1% target share, including one deep target. He is now a full-time player and will likely have a significant chance to carve out a role moving forward. People who drafted Mingo may be starting to get cold feet following the lack of production, so you could pounce and buy him on the cheap. Buying Mingo for a mid-2024 second-round pick could be a gamble that could reap rewards almost immediately.

Buy - Daniel Jones, QB NYG
