Nice read, John. I couldn’t agree with you more about home leagues being a little quirky. My long-time no-ppr, 10-team, 1 QB league dynasty league is like that. Random QBs in round 1, and RB heavy… always. I have the 1.03 and plan to go Gibbs if he falls, unlikely, or Cam Jackson because of this… that is if I can’t trade down… but if I don’t take AR at 3, I’d bet he doesn’t make it past 6 or 7. This of course makes WRs a little more accessible later in the draft. Knowing this can be helpful so as to not reach for a WR too early. Of course, like any draft, but especially home leagues, things can change at a moment’s notice. lol Hopefully this all made sense. 🙂 Good luck this year!!

I enjoy the home league drafts more than any of the “expert” leagues I’m in. That element of craziness makes them so much more fun.
There is something to be said for the predictability of a league that sticks to ADP, but they certainly aren’t more fun.
