The Jaguars may be one of the most intriguing fantasy football teams this year, with plenty of question marks entering 2023.
Trevor Lawrence is at the helm for his third year in Jacksonville in what should be a pivotal season for his fantasy value going forward. Lawrence is now considered outside the elite tier of young quarterbacks, but last year's production changed some minds. He was the QB7 in 2022, and with the group of weapons around him, he could do even better in 2023.
Speaking of his weapons, Calvin Ridley enters the fold after serving a suspension for gambling. He missed all of 2022 and most of 2021, but the last time he played significant time, he caught 90 balls for 1374 yards and nine touchdowns in Atlanta. Christian Kirk, Zay Jones, and Evan Engram each had career years as pass-catchers last season. This is a loaded group that could become a bit of a headache for fantasy managers.
The running back position has received the most headlines this offseason after the Jaguars used a third-round pick on Tank Bigsby out of Auburn. Travis Etienne ran the ball 220 times last year, much more than anyone expected him to handle coming off of the Lisfranc injury during his rookie year. Bigsby and D'Ernest Johnson will help take some of the burdens off of Etienne's shoulders this season. Fantasy managers would prefer they didn't, but hopefully, this means he will see more than 45 pass targets this season.
