You know the drill, let’s spin it…

Week Fourteen Fantasy MVP

One is an accident, two is trend, what’s sixteen worth? Rob Gronkowski continued his personal assault on the record books with touchdowns number 15 and 16 this week. His breakout year has been an absolute marvel.

Week One Fantasy LVP

Many owners waited until Sunday night to start Ahmad Bradshaw and were rewarded with 19 total yards after Bradshaw was benched for the first half of the game against Dallas.  Yuck.

Lineup Fun

The virtually unbeatable lineup of the week…

QB Tony Romo DAL = 320 passing yards, four touchdowns
RB Maurice Jones-Drew JAX = 136 total yards, four touchdowns
RB Shonn Greene NYJ = 187 total yards, one touchdown
RB Brandon Jacobs NYG = 101 rushing yards, two touchdowns
WR Marques Colston NO = 7 catches, 105 receiving yards, two touchdowns
WR Julio Jones ATL = 3 catches, 104 receiving yards, two touchdowns
WR Antonio Brown PIT = 5 catches, 151 receiving yards, one touchdown
TE Rob Gronkowski NE  = 6 catches, 160 receiving yards, two touchdowns

The dominant underdog lineup of the week…

QB Jake Locker TEN = 282 passing yards, 36 rushing yards, two total touchdowns
RB Ryan Grant GB  =
98 total yards, two touchdowns
RB Jacquizz Rodgers ATL = 43 total yards, one touchdown
RB Toby Gerhart MIN =
109 total yards, one touchdown
WR Doug Baldwin SEA =
7 catches, 93 yards, one touchdown
WR Titus Young DET =
4 catches, 87 receiving yards, one touchdown
WR Kevin Walter HOU =
6 catches, 76 recieving yards, one touchdown
TE Ryan Taylor GB =
One catch, 4 receiving yards, one touchdown

You probably lost if your lineup looked like this...

QB Matt Hasselbeck TEN = 44 passing yards, one calf injury
RB Chris Wells ARI = 30 total yards
RB Willis McGahee DEN = 36 total yards
RB DeMarco Murray DAL = 31 total yards
WR Jeremy Maclin PHI = One catch, 13 receiving yards
WR Chaz Schilens OAK = One catch, 14 receiving yards
WR Greg Jennings GB = 2 catches, 28 receiving yards, one knee injury
TE Vernon Davis SF  = One catch, 32 receiving yards

Gut Checks

I’d be worried if…

I think Chad Ochocinco is STILL going to be relevant this year.

I’m wanting consistency from the Dallas WRs going into the playoffs. It’s going to be hit and miss with Laurent Robinson, Dez Bryant and Miles Austin.

I have Steven Jackson for the fantasy playoffs. How about CIN, @PIT and SF to finish up?

I was hoping for something from Dan Orlovsky if I have a QB who gets benched or hurt at the end of the year. We told you so.

I’m completely dismissing TJ Yates.

I have any Raiders wideout for the fantasy playoffs.

I’m playing any team with Rob Gronkowski.

I expect Shonn Greene to keep this up. It’s just hard to dismiss 13 weeks of mediocrity all of a sudden.

I have Mike Wallace or Calvin Johnson as my lead receiver heading into the playoffs. Teams seem to be content taking them away and living with the consequences.

I have Beanie Wells for the stretch run. He’s hurt and it’s obvious.

I’m underestimating Eli Manning. He’s had the quietest monster season in the history of fantasy.

I have Michael Turner in my dynasty league. He’s looking slower and slower even if he has put up a decent year.

I’m still holding on to Braylon Edwards. It’s amazing how far he’s fallen at this point.

I think Felix Jones is going to steal DeMarco Murray’s job long-term. Not happening.

I have Jason Witten for the fantasy playoffs. Twelve catches for 102 combined yards the past three games isn’t exactly inspiring confidence – Rob Gronkowski can do that on one drive if there’s a holding penalty!

I think Mike Tolbert is a serious threat to Ryan Mathews’ workload.

I’m playing DLF in the Dynasty Experts League playoffs!
