Chargers running back Isaiah Spiller was a healthy scratch in week two.
Spiller is behind Austin Ekeler, Joshua Kelley, and Sony Michel in the Chargers pecking order and his lack of special teams value isn't helping his cause. Spiller dropped in last year's draft and it seems he hasn't made much of an impact thus far with the Chargers. Spiller remains a hold in dynasty leagues, but his ranking of overall rookie #23 is going to keep falling if he can't find the field.

Chargers rookie running back Isaiah Spiller rushed for 34 yards on 10 carries
He also caught his lone target for 10 yards. Spiller is locked in a battle for the backup role behind Austin Ekeler but still looks to be behind Joshua Kelley at this juncture. As DLF's rookie RB7, there's little question the 21-year-old has starting upside but his drafted situation in L.A. will require patience from his dynasty coaches. It's a long training camp and general belief is that it will be Spiller backing up Ekeler by the end of the season, but without injury above him on the depth chart, there's little runway for material production in 2022.

While Chargers rookie running back Isaiah Spiller remains buried on the depth chart, he's "starting to pop" now that the pads are on in training camp
It stands to reason that Spiller continues to run with the twos and threes in camp as Austin Ekeler is entrenched as the team's starter. A selection of the rookie in dynasty is on the promise of Spiller's future though that is murky based on Ekeler's age and production in L.A. The rookie fell during the 2022 NFL Draft due to poor athletic metrics but his Texas A&M film shows a productive and powerful runner built for the NFL. Spiller only turns 21 a week from today and has a long runway remaining in the NFL. He makes for a solid developmental addition for dynasty league coaches who are willing to remain patient. He's listed as DLF's RB45.
