Four Wide Receivers to Buy, Sell, or Hold in Dynasty Leagues

Welcome to the 'Buy, Sell, or Hold' series where each week I’ll be focusing on one position to analyze four players and what we should be doing with them. This week I’ll be focusing on four well thought of wide receivers.

Brandon Aiyuk, WR SF - Hold

What a season for Aiyuk in 2023. He showed that he is undoubtedly one of the most talented wide receivers in all of the NFL, being one of the most efficient players on a per-target basis year over year with 2023 being his best year yet. He finished as WR15 on the year with 15.6 PPR points per game, a career high, as well as third in yards per route run and second in yards per target. As long as he’s with the 49ers though, we will have the concern about what his overall projectable volume can be while playing with fellow stars Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, and George Kittle. For 2024, Aiyuk is still under contract with the 49ers on the fifth-year option of his rookie deal.

The Move – Aiyuk is being aggressively valued in dynasty. He is universally seen as a low-end WR1 and that ranking is appropriate. Aiyuk is clearly one of the most talented wide receivers in the league, excelling in all areas of the field as one of the best route runners in the business. Still, his potential fantasy production ceiling is capped to an extent with his current situation. The good news is things could easily change in the future. Aiyuk is set to be a free agent after 2024. Also, in the event he resigns with the 49ers, in 2025 Samuel will be 29 with an out in his contract and Kittle will be 32 also with an out in his contract. Aiyuk should be viewed as the 49ers top passing option. Hold and prosper.
