2024 Dynasty Fantasy Football Rookie Profile: Ja’Lynn Polk, WR Washington

Richard Cooling

When any college team sends three wide receivers to the draft, and all three could end up going on days one and two, they are bound to be compared to each other. Ja'Lynn Polk had an awe-inspiring 2023 season as Washington progressed to the college football playoff final, sharing success with teammates Rome Odunze and Jalen McMillan.

Polk may not get the hype of one of his fellow Huskies receivers, who will likely be drafted early in the first round. However, he is a threat with the ball in his hands and possesses excellent route-running ability, which translates to the NFL consistently. That said, he is not an elite athlete, and that could raise concerns about that transition.

The Stats

Courtesy of Sports Reference.

Polk started his career with Texas Tech, and despite being a true freshman, he played 49.6% of snaps, which was second among all receivers on the team. He didn't produce an incredible stat line but flashed enough talent to intrigue. Texas Tech used him as an underneath receiver, and he didn't get much opportunity downfield with an aDOT of only 6.1.
