2024 Dynasty Fantasy Football Rookie Profile: Caleb Williams, QB USC

Tim Riordan

Even the most casual dynasty fantasy football player knows Caleb Williams, has watched him play, and probably already has an opinion on him. He’s been one of the most talked about football players in America over the past two years and people have been acquiring 2024 superflex rookie first-round picks hoping that they would be able to land him on their team. The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner took a drastic step back in quality of play last season and now we’re asking the question: will the NFL see the 2022 Caleb Williams of historic lore, or the 2023 version who put up pedestrian numbers and displayed some off-the-field “concerns”?

We’ll dig into it all here and determine his value in dynasty fantasy football leagues.

Williams was born in Washington, DC and grew up just outside of the city. He has been on a professional football track since he was a young child, traveling the country and participating in football camps. As a child, he was a running back and a linebacker. At ten years old, he decided to switch to quarterback and he didn’t look back. He went to Gonzaga College High School in DC, where he was dominant. He left school as a five-star recruit and got offers from UNC, Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, Michigan and Florida, amongst other blue-chip schools. He chose to go to Oklahoma to play for Lincoln Riley.
