The Ravens have signed quarterback Cooper Rush.
Read moreDLF recently posted its most recent January ADP compiled from six single-QB mock drafts. With rookies soon to be added, this will be the last mocks we’ll see without the incoming rookie class. It’s a great time to get one last look at where players are valued before all the coaching vacancies are filled, and rookies start cutting into veteran values.
We’ll start at the top with the QB1s. Obviously, this is a very chalky top 12, and I don’t have many reservations about the players selected here. For fantasy purposes, I prefer Anthony Richardson over CJ Stroud, but I’m assuming people are factoring in Richardson’s more significant injury potential from running, which is understandable.
The big outlier for me is Justin Fields remaining in the dynasty QB1 conversation. We know there is a strong likelihood that the Bears are drafting a quarterback with the first overall pick. That move puts Fields’ future in question in Chicago. The fact that Chicago is even considering a quarterback at 1.01 obviously indicates there are concerns with Fields’ play that would probably continue with another team. Most quarterbacks who bounce from team to team end up with careers that aren’t particularly long-lasting, which gives me great pause drafting Fields this early. Fortunately, the NFL draft will clear this up soon.
