Second-Year Dynasty Flops and Their Futures: Jahan Dotson and Greg Dulcich

Tyler Justin Karp

In this piece, I will break down a couple of players who seemed poised for a second-year breakout. However, for differing reasons, they misfired, instead losing dynasty value in 2023.

Do these players have any hope? Let’s jump straight into it!

Jahan Dotson, WR WAS

College Career and NFL Draft Profile

Dotson had an exciting college career at Penn State, putting him on the dynasty and devy radar well before he entered the NFL.

As you can see, Dotson had decent success in his first two years before breaking out in his 2020 campaign. Despite the COVID-shortened season, he caught 52 passes for 884 yards and eight touchdowns in nine games, leading an NFL-caliber receiving corps by a wide margin. Indeed, the three players who finished behind him are all currently in the NFL: Parker Washington, Pat Freiermuth, and Brenton Strange. However, Dotson significantly outproduced them all, as none had more than 500 receiving yards.
