The Stats

Mo Ibrahim embodies everything that is good about college football. He exploded onto the scene as a true freshman to the tune of over 1,100 rushing yards. There were high hopes heading into his senior year, but he tore his Achilles at the end of Game 1 after rushing for 163 yards and two touchdowns against Ohio State. He battled back for his fifth year and set Minnesota single-season records for rushing attempts, rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, and 100-yard rushing games.
Ibrahim ended up in the perfect situation to shoulder a lot of carries and rack up a ton of yards. He played for an offensive coordinator that absolutely loves to run the football, and he ran behind the #1 rated run-blocking offensive line in the country last year, according to PFF. Ibrahim never ran for less than 5 YPC in a single season, but so much of that was due to the big guys up front paving the way.
